Usb 3.0 4-port Usb Hub M Led-indikator For Mac
I have been using this usb hub off/on for the past 6 days for various things such as; charging many phones at one time, hooking various usb hard drives to my computer and also hooking up a couple printers at once to see if it could handle it all. I am happy to report it does.
Here are some quick specs; 7 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports support data transfer rates of up to 5Gbps. (Note: actual rate will depend on the capability of your device.) Backward compatible with USB 2.0 / 1.1. Aluminum body ensures build quality and also adds to the aesthetic of your Apple gear. Built-in surge protector safeguards your devices, while blue LEDs display the status of all connections. High-grade chipset and 36W adapter guarantee steady operation. Supports plug-and-play and hot-swapping.

No installation of drivers required for Windows 8 / 7 / Vista / XP or Mac OS X 10.2 and above. Package includes: Anker USB 3.0 7-Port Hub, 12V 3A power adapter, 3.3-foot USB 3.0 cord, user manual.
Free lifetime technical support and 18-month manufacturer's warranty. The hub itself has a wondeful finish that feels exactly like a mac finish and looks the same as well. It also features a set of blue LED lights, one light that is always on for a power indicator and then 7 other ones that blink per activity. They are pretty bright and could be some what annoying if you are working on something at night and this hub is sitting on your desk. I like the style and design, Anker thought this process out before just rushing to make a hub.
It looks very professional and performs just as such. Anker included a power brick for the item that I do wish was smaller, Its pretty big IMO but I do understand why. I mean lets be real usb 3.0 devices are fast and to put a hub with 7 ports all supporting that fast speed the hub is going to need some power so I guess it could have been worse? Apple seems to be the only company out that has nailed the charger size for items that demand power.
During my tests the hub never heated up beyond 'less then warm' I knew it was on and operating but it did not heat up like other hubs I have had in the past. Essentially you could hide this behind a desk somewhere and run your cables as you see fit without worry of it over heating. When it comes to having this item on a desk there is another fault besides the bright lights, it moves easily. I would prefer it to have a few more non-slip rubber feet on the bottom and maybe a little more weight to the unit because when you have 5 or more cables plugged in it does want to tip just ever so slightly. I also think throwing a front port or 2 would be awesome so that you could easily plug in a usb flash drive or 2. I'd most certainly recommend this to anyone who owns an iMac that needs more usb ports (ex.

Video editiors) even thought there are a few faults in my mind this product is wonderful and I havent come across a better usb hub that matches the Apple finish. You can purchase from @. The power switch?? Hey @ihonda Could you answer a question for me? I got this hub for Christmas, and when I got it home, I noticed that the on/off switch in the back doesn't click, when the power cord is plugged in. If I unplug the power connector, it seems to reset the on/off switch then it clicks. If I unplug the AC plug, the power switch does not click.

Does yours do that also? I read reviews on Amazon, and there was no mention of this being a problem, I just don't like the feel of the switch. I'm not sure if I trust it.
